Due to the continuing uncertainty, the organization of Maintenance NEXT decided to move the trade fair from 14 to 16 June 2021 to 25 to 27 January 2022. The international conference EuroMaintenance is being postponed due to the limited willingness to travel of the international target group. The option is being discussed, together with the NVDO and the EFNMS, to move up to the follow-up edition in April 2023.
With the current regulations, there is still too little perspective to cut through all organizational knots. "A lot will have changed in the new year. For example, the vaccination campaign will be completed, so that fairs and events will run smoothly by then. Because of all the valuable encounters and making new contacts, it is important for everyone that the fair can take place on location in full glory," explains Pieter Bas Dujardin, Manager Exhibitions at Rotterdam Ahoy. "Of course, the decision was made in consultation with sponsors, exhibitors and other involved parties. It is nice to see that we all have the same goal and want to create a successful full edition. The industry is very much looking forward to meeting face-to-face again, and we will be one of the first industrial fairs in the new year to facilitate this meeting moment. We therefore expect the trade fair to be well attended."
Ellen den Broeder, General Manager Dutch Maintenance Society (NVDO), also agrees that her stakeholders support the relocation and thus adjournment of EuroMaintenance. She would organize the EuroMaintenance conference this year, but due to its international character, it will not be moved to January. She explains: "The strong substantive and written program of EuroMaintenance is aimed for European asset managers, engineers and maintenance professionals ánd beyond, for years. In the short term, it is not realistic for them to travel to Rotterdam, as this is still not recommended by the authorities. It is a shame, because the market is enthusiastic about the combination of the Maintenance NEXT trade fair and the conference.”
"We look forward to Maintenance NEXT in January 2022, as the exhibition floor is already taking shape. We notice in conversations with our relations that the industry is eager to meet again live," says Pieter Bas Dujardin. All information can be found at www.maintenancenext.nl
