From research to practice: smart maintenance takes center stage at Maintenance NEXT

How do we keep our infrastructure reliable while a large part of it is aging at the same time? The VIA PRUDENTI research project shows that the solution is not only technical, but primarily organizational: working together more intelligently.

Within VIA PRUDENTI, parties collaborate on a new way of organizing maintenance, with shared direction, joint planning, and better insight into capacity and risks. These are exactly the themes that are becoming increasingly urgent as infrastructure from the post-war reconstruction period is reaching the end of its lifecycle en masse.

According to Henk Akkermans, director of World Class Maintenance, this challenge requires a fundamentally different approach: less fragmentation, more collaboration, and better data sharing.

This shift was also clearly visible during the previous edition of Maintenance NEXT, where Henk Akkermans, as a speaker, addressed the future of asset management and collaboration in maintenance. World Class Maintenance is a supporting partner of Maintenance NEXT and part of the advisory committee.

During the upcoming edition of Maintenance NEXT, these types of challenges will once again come together. From predictive maintenance to supply chain collaboration: how do we ensure maximum impact with limited capacity?

The upcoming Maintenance NEXT from April 20 to 22, 2027 offers the perfect opportunity to explore these themes in greater depth and further examine the future of smart maintenance.
